Hotel was top-class and well priced, we appreciated this place.
Booked the room with my friend for 7 nights and had a fine stay. All the employees were attentive and exceptionally polite. The location was perfect for walking around Jing'an Temple. A shopping centre and convenience stores were right next door.

Excellent breakfast, with Chinese food options but plenty of Western variety as well. Very nice breakfast place too. The rooms are very comfortable, the beds are of excellent quality. They made us an upgrade of room, with a view to the front. Quiet, with good equipment. The truth is that for the price, it is very good. Gym very well equipped, swimming pool, everything in excellent condition. It is near the Jing'an Temple subway station, line 2, which goes directly to both airports, so getting there is very comfortable, accessible and cheap. This line also leaves you at the best tourist places, such as Nanjing Road in all its extension, People's Square or Pudong (financial area). And to go on foot, you will take Nanjing Road from one of the points.
In this hotel and in general in the hotels of China it is difficult to find something bad. Luckily I haven't had any bad experiences in this hotel, this is the second time I've gone.

Enjoyed a relaxing evening in the well-appointed lounge while sampling tasty Chinese and Western dishes. Don't miss the nearby shopping and eateries. Everything is within walking distance!

I loved its location, almost in the center, subway is close by, also, there is a pool, good plus.
The 5-star hotel is not pulling, the bed is small and not very comfortable.

The essentials, minus the fluff
Spent ten nights in avery comfy and tidy room with friendly staff, even with my limited Chinese. The breakfast spread was varied and delicious, and the spa was a good addition. Plus, I appreciated the hotel's eco-friendly initiatives. A perfect base for exploring further!

Breakfast buffet is excellent and comparable to lunch in terms of variety.
No entrance/exit to the Shanghai Subway. Have to walk across a flyover.

Reliable hotel in excellent location
I think you should ban smoking in the breakfast buffet area. The best seats are reserved for smokers, and everyone else is crowded in the inner tables by the food. And the smoke drifts through anyway,

They even charged us for a bottle of water at a wedding, showing how cheap they can be. Just be ready to share whatever desserts you get without any extra plates or utensils.

The location is very close to my business venue and the Metro. Great accessibility to other areas of Shanghai.
It is inconvenient to access the hotel with a heavy luggage because you need to climb some stairs. The escalators at the overhead bridge leading to the hotel are only upward riding and they will be shut down in the evening. There is no free WIFI in the guest room.

The hotel is well located at a 5 min waking distance from the metro Line 2. The rooms are quiet and clean and well maintained.
There was not a very large selection of western food at the restaurant

The location was fantastic, just a few minutes' walk from the Jing An Temple station. The air conditioning didn’t function properly, leading to discomfort during my stay.

In general the hotel is well located, clean and for the time period in question (Shanghai Worl Expo), reasonably priced.
Tricky as to breakfast coupon issued to guest. Assuming that breakfast is included (as I did) and if you used the coupon, hotel will charge you 170 RMB (about US$25 each) rather than the US$12 indicated by Booked.net. Front desk staff (one named "Fofanny") was rude and uncooperative and matter only get resolved thanks to Front Office Manager, Mr. Lance Mou.
